In our hometown--Chicago--which happens to be the Obama Family's hometown, there's an event (FREE) for canines and their people companions at Soldier Field this weekend. Yes, it's that Soldier Field, the one in which the awesome Chicago Bears (a.k.a. the "Monsters of the Midway) play. "Dog Day on the Green" takes place this SUNDAY, AUGUST 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
And look at this! These are the 1st and 2nd place winners for the Chicago City Vehicle stickers for 2009-10! The theme for this year is "Dog Friendly Chicago." The first place winner's artwork is now the official sticker for those lucky folks who drive a car in Chicago.
