Miles Davis= Ivy League Style with Swagger
Blogger Paul Munford at Components of Enthusiasm writes about Miles Davis' style thusly: "During my younger days, I simply associated Miles Davis as a great bebop jazz trumpeter, because it is, after all, simply phenomenal. Today, however, being older and more sensitive to fashion, I’ve also developed considerable respect for this jazz legend’s sense of style. He flourished professionally during an era where Ivy League style was the uniform of the day, but his attitude (dare I say, swagger) with which he wore his clothes was closer to that of an Italian who has an impeccable sense of Sprezzatura. You look at Miles during his prime, and it’s clear, this guy during his life was just as smooth as his music. Indeed, looking at his style, it’s apparent that his music was a direct reflection of his mentality."
