Rahm Emanuel's Wife Left Her Wedding Dress In Chicago. Hmmnn...That's Where I Left My Ice Pick

In case you haven't heard, Chicago mayoral candidate Rahm Emanuel's status as a resident of Chicago is in question and he just testified to local election court judges. Rahm is defending his Chicago residency by pointing out that even though he rented out his house in Chicago when he went to work for President Obama in D.C. and lived in D.C.,  his wife's wedding dress is still in the basement.  In Chicago. In Rahm's mind, a wedding dress left in a basement means that you have residency in that house, if you follow Rahm's chain of thought.  A wedding dress, after all, isn't going to get up all by itself and walk out of the door, you know.

That reminds us, what about one's old ice pick? Left underneath a bed just like in that movie, Basic Instinct? In Chicago. Does that entitle one to claim Chicago residency, too?  Maybe we should run for mayor ourselves.

But we digress. Back to the ice pick. Well, it's actually underneath our ex-husband's bed in Chicago and unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to use it.

Not on him, silly rabbit!  On the snow and ice in Chicago...you know how bad the winter is there.
