Do You Know What A "Man Repeller" Is?

If you're a fan of the "Man Repeller" website, then you know what we are talking about. If not, don't worry. The concept is really basic. A "Man Repeller" outfit is the sartorial equivalent of walking around with moose boogers hanging out of your nose, blowing industrial strength halitosis out of your mouth while you are simultaneously elephant farting up a honking storm. Most men will run in the opposite direction. Yes, we said, "most," not "all."

Well, here's a new take on the "Man Repeller" theme. If you took the very popular, culturally iconic "Barbie" doll and used the same proportions of arms, legs, bust, head, etc. to translate what a real woman would look like, just feast your eyes on the image below. Guys, is this your idea of a real woman? Call us crazy, but, this looks like a "Man Repeller" to us...

You kind of feel sorry for that Barbie. Her head is so small! Not much room for a brain. She looks like a mutant (apologies to all offended space aliens reading this) and most men would probably be repelled. Yes, we said, "most," not "all." We think that women we know don't want to look like this, either.

Kudos to the young woman in the photo who has struggled with eating disorders and decided to build the human equivalent of a Barbie doll to make a point about body image.
